Sunday morning we woke up to some chilly temps. 25 degrees and we are just days away from the summer solstice!

After a short shuttle to our drop off area, we staged our bags for the packers to pick up later today.

Soon we grabbed our day packs and tools and headed for home. It wasn’t going to be a leisurely downhill stroll as we had left some work on the way in.

We stopped to work on this trail snag right as the packers passed.

Kirsten uses her single buck skills to make quick work of this oversized Christmas tree.

Back across the creek(s) we go.

This small stream crossing on the main trail has been a stock tripping hazard for years. Our crew does it’s best to stabilize the trail but we know it will be a matter of time before it becomes a problem again. Recommendation: culvert.

Wes trims this tripper which was laying in an awkward position in a gully.

Another amazing ITA trip comes to an end. Thank you to everyone at the ITA and the Payette National Forest for making it happen.
