On Day 2, we split the group and sent Dan and Kirsten up the trail for scouting purposes while the rest of the team when back down the trail to clean up some log tangles which stopped the pack team earlier. Either way, when leaving camp, one starts out the day with an ice cold foot bath.

Our first tree cut was in the warm morning sun.

Several members of the team had not run a crosscut saw so we took some time to do a little teaching.

Next up, the location the pack team was turned around.

Don and Wes used their newly acquired crosscut skills to make quick work of this log.

The crew worked our way down the trail clearing brush and trees insuring our gear could be easily retrieved by the pack team later this week.

Later in the day, we returned to our camp which was set along Blackmare Creek.
