I’m in Northern Idaho for the day so it was a perfect time to climb an Idaho Classic. The Spiral Highway.

This is the old Highway 95 grade up Lewiston Hill, since the new grade was completed I believe in the 1970s, this section of highway is left only for cyclist and a hand full of residents.

To call The Lewiston Hill a hill is a bit of a misnomer. From top to bottom it is almost exactly 2000 feet of climb in roughly 8 miles. By Florida standards, this is certainly a mountain as I often don’t get 2000 feet of climb down there in even an 80 mile ride.

It seems that every time I climb this hill there are a couple more house.

Summit!!!! Mid image is the Snake River as it exist Hell’s Canyon and across the mid image from the left is the Clearwater River.

I love Idaho!
