We woke up to a bluebird morning. Notice the wind sock hanging dead flat. We arrived early at the airstrip to avoid lines at TSA Security.

Right on time, Thor arrives in the Kodiak.

Sometimes landing in these backcountry airstrips is like threading a needle. You can just make out the Kodiak above the saddle where Thor makes a hard left turn and circles back to the Airstrip.

A perfect landing. Also notice that the airstrip is not exactly straight.

Self portrait in the nose cone.

The ground crew loads for the flight out.

On the way out, we climb towards the North and we enjoyed a nice view of the Waterfall Creek Drainage and the Middle Fork below.

After making a left turn we flew above Big Creek an right over the Cabin Creek Airstrip. You can check out adventures there from years gone by here.
