With my arrival in Idaho, it is time to start easing into the hiking season with a few relatively easy hikes. First up, Jigsaw or should I call it Ticksaw!

With a compressed schedule after rolling cross country and preparing for an upcoming ITA trip, I have decided to merge the weeks worth of hikes into one blog.

Near the top of Jigsaw Tom and I get a nice view of Little Payette Lake and the valley below with snow showers in the distance.

The next day, things clear up for a hike with Susan, Finn, Tom and myself in Ponderosa Park.

Tom and Finn enjoy a quite moment beside the lake. This time of year in McCall is fantastic without the summer hoards buzzing around everywhere.

A day or two later and I hike around Meadow Marsh also in the “Park”.

I like photographing these cattails on Meadow Marsh.

The next morning we woke up to winter! An inch or two of snow and below freezing temperatures reminds us we are in the mountains!

Early morning reflections on Lake Payette.

Finally, yesterday Tom and I tackle Snowdon Peak. Not much of a peak but still a fun hike.

This poor tree looks like it has survived another harsh Idaho winter.

At the summit, we can see Little Payette Lake in the distance and just on the right side of the image is Jigsaw. Let the Idaho adventures begin! Hashtag Summerof61.
