Valley County Gravel Ride, Idaho

Scroll down to content

It has been a moment since I threw a leg over the steed so I was excited to get my first Idaho gravel ride of the year. No climbing mountains today, a simple 50 mile stroll in the valley will have to do.

The views along Farm to Market Road always impress any time of year.

A quick stop to photography the Boulder Creek Drainage and the home of Tommy P. It’s always nice when you can get him to venture out of this drainage!

Lake Fork Creek is already at bank full from the Spring runoff.

After picking up a few riding buddies along the way we roll down south a few miles. You can see my Idaho friends are excited to see me as when I stoped to photograph No Business Mountain, they never looked back and just kept rolling……Just like my Florida Buddies!!!!

Lake Cascade and snow capped Idaho Mountains.

West Mountain Road has only recently been clear of snow. They graded it last week and it had a bunch of sandy sections. After riding the roads of Blackwater State Forest this winter, my sand fitness and skills are well honed and I went to the front and hit the gas!

This time when I called a time out to shoot some photographs the boys were happy to stop. We have Myself, Rich, Tom, and Bill

Bill was riding an off brand bike so I didn’t let him include it in the Specialized group shot. Great to be home to start of the Summer of 61!
