It’s time to catch up on a couple blogs! Earlier this week I met Florida Mike up in the Blackwater State Forest for a little gravel grinding. Turns out we were having a winter chill and it was quite brisk.

We started out on this nice forest road, what you can’t see is the slight downhill start which did not help us get warmed up.

The Blackwater State Forest has a large complex network of paved and unpaved roads. I often recognize places I have been but without the GPS track, I would be completely lost.

More forest roads!

We popped out on this county road and you can clearly see that despite the cool temperatures, spring has sprung!

We finish up the ride on a long stretch of double track. Quite a nice treat. In all about 55 miles and about 1700 feet of climb.
