Now for something you don’t see every day! The road leading to my house has a narrow gravel road with fairly sizable hill down into our neighborhood. It has quite a reputation for wintertime antics. As I was walking past my front window, I happened to see this scene. I was reasonably certain that non of my neighbors were expecting a food delivery so I went out to check it out.

The driver was a young man and he indicated that his GPS gave him bad directions. Also something common in these parts. He was in the process of chaining up in hopes to getting back up the hill. I helped him back up to get pointed in the right direction. As he did so, I noticed that he only had chains on one side…… Despite my insistence that he would never make it up the hill with only one side chained and that his current parking spot was a good place to wait for the tow truck. He insisted on trying.

Well, this is not my first rodeo here and sure enough, road plugged! If you look carefully, he is now on the phone calling a tow truck I presume. Turns out that despite driving the Shamrock Truck, his luck ain’t so good! There wasn’t munch I could do here so I went skiing for a couple hours.

Talk about good timing, on my way back from skiing, look who is headed out of the neighborhood!

Shortly behind the tow truck, Shamrock Truck! We cheered as he went by and I’m not sure the young man appreciated our humor. In all, I would guess about a 5 or 6 hour delay in his delivery schedule and a huge hit to the driving budge for the mega tow truck.
