Village Creek State Park – Lumberton, Texas

It is time for a road trip and some Texas Adventure! I’m headed over to Texas Tim’s house for a few days. For the last couple of summers, he has been visiting me in Idaho during the summers so it was time to return the favor.

I’m breaking the drive up into a couple of days and stopped just inside Texas for the night. Good thing I did because an ice storm started to roll in just as I arrived.

Another cool wooden bridge!

After camp setup, I did a little strolling around the park.

How cold was it?

That is a pretty serious looking sign….. Not too worried about the snakes today. They are likely “existing” inside their holes in the ground.

After a fair amount of walking, this is Village Creek I presume.

As the ice pellets came down, I took one last image of this old snag and headed back to the warm van to do some existing there.
