It was our last day riding and time for the Queen Stage to Saint-Jean. I saved this one for last, it had the most climbing and the longest distance…… also the most amazing views.

After an our or so riding we were looking over into the Herault River Valley.

We descended into the river valley and rolled along a completely vacant road.

Of course we made our obligatory stop at the Pont de Causse-de-la Selle Sur l’Herault…. say that 3 times real fast!

Fall colors along the Herault River.

Yet again we had another glorious day in the South of France.

Saint-Jean-de-Buerges has to be one of the most spectacular villages in France and today we threw in a rainbow just for kicks.

This view of Saint-Jean is amazing and also located on a blind corner. You can just make out the “no stopping” signs painted on the pavement as I’m sure every tourist that rolls through here stops to take a picture!

Lunch in Saint-Jean and we were also able to throw a little extra charge on Jill’s bike as we were stretching her battery….. We were also stretching Larry and my batteries as well!

After lunch, we rolled back towards Lauret. No these are not bike paths.

I have shot this chateau a few times in the past…… It is the Chateau de Villarel which you can rent a room.

It was an amazing day with an amazing team. I leave you with this artsy fartsy shot of trees.
