The Lauret Team was now starting to get into the routine, wake up, coffee, walk to the store for hot fresh pastries, breakfast, head out for a ride……etc. The bread vending machine is always a hit so we stoped to check out the selection.

This was our second day out this direction and we made the obligatory stop for our Vineyard/Ride Blessing.

Today’s ride takes us to the small village of Quissac and we cross the bridge over the River Vidourle.

It was market day so we stoped for a coffee and some people watching. Larry was looking at the mattresses and chain saws but luckily he held off buying.

At Quissac, we jump onto the rail trail. This is low stress riding at its finest.

More random ruins of the Roman variety I’m guessing.

A panorama of sorts as we take the old bridge over Saint Hippolyte.

Then the tunnel…. The cycling path used to end here but in the two years since I have ridden it, they have extended it another 15 kilometers to Ganges. Unfortunately that ride will need to wait for another day.

It was time for lunch. You can tell that the Lauret Team was starting to get French spoiled as they were now saying these amazing sandwiches and pastries were not as good as previous days.

Rolling on down the road we stop at the square in Pompignan.

Just another beautiful valley and day here in the region.

At the last minute, I called an audible which would take us up and over the pass to Ferrieres-les-Verreries. It added about 10 kilometers to our ride but was definitely worth the added effort.

Finally, we finish the day by descending back into the Lauret Valley.
