Belvédère du Grand Causse – Lauret, France

Today was a hike day up to the nearby high point. Of course some NTP would be in order at the summit. Larry was on a schedule today so we kept a steady pace.

As we moved up the mountain, we started to get nice views of L’Auberge du Cedre, our home this week.

Now the same view a little higher tip. In the far distance is the Mediterranean Sea.

Looking towards the north is the Village of Lauret below. In the far distance you can just make out the hint of Mount Ventoux.

From the valley below you can make out this summit structure which is clearly not a cross but a directional compass sculpture. Everybody has to do the Titanic thing on this spot!

What a glorious day in the South of France!

Pic Saint Loup!
