Before I present todays ride, I give you a couple random photos from around my apartment. I always like shooting the hairpins on the road climb from town. As I say every time I shoot and present this climb, it is perhaps the best stretch of cycling road in the world. If there is a better stretch, I have not been on it!

This image was shot by Sister Jill and captured my new friends from the winery across the street.

Today was a shopping day so we grabbed our backpacks and headed out for the 10 kilometerish ride to the big city.

Normally the ride to the store takes about 20 minutes but I opted to take the “scenic” route which is a few klicks more and with picture stops takes over an hour!

When it comes to views, this particular ride can’t be beat and just when you think it can’t be better, you are wrong.

I told Larry and Jill that it takes and couple days in Lauret before you can do this ride so they could acclimate to this region’s beauty…. I did t want to blow their mind on the first day!

Vineyards and quiet roads.

More vineyards and quiet roads.

Pic St Loup is prominent in this area and offers great photography from many angles.

We didn’t cover much ground on this ride but we did get a ton of photos…… and some groceries!
