Breakfast! It was a little chilly here at almost 9000 feet.

The fog rolled in as we started our almost 4 mile commute to the work area.

As the morning moved on, the fog started to lift.

Our first view up on Mahon Point.

After about 2 hours of hiking, we arrived at the start of the burned area.

Luckily, the burn was not too severe so the drainage work was minimal.

Lunch with a view…. and a couple of ticks!

As the day wore on, the clouds looked more threatening.

Work, hike, work.

Rinse and repeat.

More clouds!

Now a genuine storm with thunder in the distance.

Art and Brian playing Name That Peak up on Mahon Point. Brian was insisting that we try a different route back to camp but he was overruled by everyone.

Time for our commute back home. Jenny leads the way.

Coming off Bear Creek Point, our base camp comes into view.

Later in the evening, across the canyon….. I’m glad we are not camped over there!

This storm just sat and rumbled for quite some time!
