Watershed Climb, Greenville, South Carolina

Scroll down to content

Today we headed out to the north of Greenville where we found a local favorite, the Watershed Climb.

It was a beautiful day and these roads were quiet! This is a reservoir which I would presume is the water source for the City of Greenville.

The trees are just now showing signs of spring…..hard to tell in this photo.

Again, no cars but a peaceful waterfall along the climb.

Yes, someone painted “Hell” on that sign and it wasn’t long before I found out why…… the grade steepens significantly!

At the top of the climb you will find North Carolina and what is that to the right? A mountain bike trail? I must come back to North Carolina some day!

Covered bridge? We must check this out!

The last remaining covered bridge in South Carolina….. and no, your eyes are not deceiving you, it is sagging a bit in the middle.

Here is my steed for the week posing for the camera.

In all, today’s ride was about 85 miles with 6000 feet of climbing.
